The Texas Association of Registered Veterinary Technicians is a non-profit organization that was formed to help promote the veterinary technician profession in Texas. The goals of TARVT are to promote communication between veterinary technicians and hospital staff, provide access to continuing education for veterinary hospital staff, promote professionalism, educate the public on the value of qualified and trained veterinary support personnel and to provide a “voice” for our members in the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the legislative bodies in Texas. The association produces a weekly email update for our members, newsletters 6 times a year, provides continuing education seminars in different areas of the state several times a year, produces handouts for veterinary staff and clients, offers scholarships for veterinary technology students and maintains a website. All of these activities lead to a significant cost we are looking for sponsors to help us continue to be very active in supporting the veterinary medical profession in Texas.
